Just last week we were down in the nice warm weather away from work and real life enjoying the outdoors, with a ton of other people too. But taking photos just isn’t enough these days, and you know I need to take some video too. While we were exploring the canyon and taking pictures I was also shooting video almost the full time. A lot of the video is worthless with consant views of my tripod, or even being just to dark, but I did at least get some decent footage to make you want to go check this place out for your self. Not only can you see all my Antelope Canyon pictures but you can see the video I put together.
I hope you enjoy.

So we haven’t been down to Moab much this year and had this weekend planned to get out and do something. We were the only ones going but really wanted to hit a trail too. Some of the trails in Moab you don’t ever want to do by yourself cause what if you break down. I did a little research online and found a trail called Fins N’ Things. Markai talked with her cousin Beau, whom we have been down there with before and got our truck from about this trail. He said we should be alright on that one. Saturday morning we are out early to hit the trail, to bad the wind was blowing. At least there weren’t many people out on the trail being off season and the gloomy weather. Of course I was shooting some video of this with my Go Pro Camera. The first section of this trail was pretty awesome and we both drove on it, which is more fun the being the passenger. We found the start for the second half and it took a while to get to anything good. Found a few spots to test our fears of driving up and over some steep spots. No problems…. that DIRTNUT is awesome!

After the Fins N’ Things trail I went up a spot called Little Lions Back, which didn’t look to bad. Up it no problem and saw you could drive down the other side and around. When we got to the other side there was a huge pool of water. How deep? will we get stuck? what should we do? I was thinking of just driving in reverse so we wouldn’t get stuck. After a few minutes of finding the way, we drove down the last steep spot, and I mean steep. The front of the truck touched ground and teeterd us for a second before all 4 wheels were back on the ground. After thinking of gunning it through the water, we were able to turn around and try to crawl back up that steep spot. Whew! We made it with no problems. That truck is amazing, you just have to get over your fear of rolling over!

We had so much fun on the first bit of Fins N’ Things and it was still early in the afternoon that we went and hit it again! Even though there was a manhunt going on in Moab it was a great weekend! The man that shot a ranger for unknown reasons is still on the loose. The ranger did live at least. Who knows if he will ever be found.

Here is the video from the trip!

I have been craving and counting down the days to get out and go Ice Fishing this year, but since I still have to wait for it I made due with a nice day out. I have been reading some good reports about the Big Ones that are starting to fatten up for the winter and thought I better give it a shot. Went up to Deer Creek in the morning to one of my shore spots. Only saw 3 trucks there, and thought I would have the place to myself. Not only to go fishing, but test out my new chest harness mount for the Go Pro HD camera I have, I was ready for some action. Untill I walked up to the shore and I saw all the people and boats along the edge…… WTF! Then I saw all of them parked on the the boat launch dock and there were fishing in full force! I moved along to another area, where I had it all to myself. The problem with that is that the fish weren’t there either. At least I to a couple shots of the Snow Capped mountain tops reflecting off the lake. So even though the fish weren’t biting I had a nice view.

I looked at a few other spots on the lake and decided to hit the Provo River. I have had good luck there over the years. Again with the camera, I got to try some new stuff while out enjoying nature. To bad these fish just didn’t want to play today though. Finally after finding the right lure and casting in the right spot I finally caught a small Brown Trout. At least I didn’t get skunked! Well I will have to keep trying as the winter gets closer.

Here is the video I came up with….

I been trying to figure out where to start this blog over again, and having difficulties gettting on board again. Maybe it is cause I haven’t done anything sweet in a little while. We have been on some great adventures the past couple of months, doing some hiking and driving trips. So I guess we will have to start off with a couple of my favorite videos that I have done from them. I created a YouTube page this year since all the new gadgets are shooting video, and I wanted to take a step into a new direction with what I can do with a camera. Sure some of the videos are lame, but I just trying to share the fun that we had. Sometimes a photo just can’t do that.

Fall Drive on Timpanookie Road

One of my favorite hikes, The Subway in Zion National Park

There are more that we have done but if you really want to see more, then just go to my
YouTube page.
