My addiction….

This year I have been addicticed to this new little HD camera, call the Go Pro Hero HD. As you look at the videos I have posted most of them are from this camera and you will see more. Yesterday I recieved a few more mounts for this little beast. One a cheast strap I plan to use while hiking, fishing, and even just while taking pictures with my SLR’s. Then you can get the views of what I see. Next a suction cup mount so I can get different angle off our vechicles while we are out playing around vs just the same old view on the top of the truck. And one more helmet mount. This one will angle down from my helmet so you can see my face while doing whatever adventure I choose. I know I sound like a geek, but I am excited to see what I come up with.

The past 7 years.

Back in 2004 I started a Picture A Day project which is what really kept me taking photos all these years. I wanted to see if I could take a picture every day and post it on my site for a whole year. It was tough sometimes but it helped me out on a few things. It made me get a bit more creative, so everyday this consumed me. At least I started traveling more to find a new shot, and I still love to get out even now to do the same thing. After that first year was finished I didn’t know what to do. I sort of kept it going, but only took a shot when I felt like it. The past couple years I have been trying to do more and get most days, but it has turned into a post a picture for each day. I might take a few pictures all in one day now and spread them throughout the week, but it is a little easier on me.

Now that the year is ending and soon a new one to begin I felt I needed something else to do. I had asked for some input on this and some of the ideas were to take 2 pictures a day…… (I wanted to lighter load not more) Then another was to take a picture everyday at the same time everyday no matter where I was at…. (Cool idea, but then I would miss out on the sunrise, sunset, or middle of the day shots since it has to be the same time) I was thinking of doing more of the picture sharing on this site instead. Before I would post a picture and have a line to go with it and that was it. This time I think it will be more to tell the story of what went on with the shot. Even though it won’t be everyday, I think it will be something new to share.

All I can say is watch out for what you do with your blog. I am saying this cause I am back to square 1 with mine cause I tried to make it look fancy with some theme download. Well I got a new look alright, BLANK! 2 years worth of stuff gone…………
I didn’t have many comments on it so maybe no one ever even looked at it, and now it is time to change that! I hope.
